We provide a variety of services
Peter McDonnell and Guy Considine, our current directors, established Australian Facilities Plumbing (AFP) in 1996 in New South Wales. They have steered us toward success through top-notch work and high ethical standards. Gradually, our team gained a reputation for being specialist commercial plumbing providers by offering reliable solutions to government, educational, and industrial facilities.
In 2007, we expanded into Victoria. Later in 2024, Ryan Hudson joined us as Director to expand and oversee our services throughout Victoria. His extensive experience in managing large-scale plumbing projects became instrumental in increasing our local presence and simultaneously guiding a steady growth.
AFP is proudly part of the Australian Facilities Group, which also delivers Fire Protection, Landscaping, and Facilities Management services. This partnership gives us the support and resources of a large national business, while still allowing us to provide customers with personalised, one-on-one service. Our highly skilled and experienced team offers a wide range of services, including scheduled maintenance, reactive repairs, asset compliance, and capital works.
Innovation is at the heart of how we operate. From adopting the latest plumbing tools and technologies to streamlining our processes, we ensure efficiency and reliability at every stage. We utilise platforms such as AroFlo and SafetyCulture, which enable real-time job tracking, digital asset management, and instant reporting—giving our clients complete visibility and confidence throughout their projects.
With more than three decades of industry experience, we remain committed to integrity, safety, and continuous improvement. Our goal is to deliver plumbing services that are efficient, compliant, and dependable.

Our Capabilities
From urgent repairs to large-scale plumbing installations, we do it all.

At Australian Facilities Plumbing (AFP), we measure success not only by the quality of our work but also by the standards we uphold. Our industry memberships and professional associations reflect the values we bring to every project and the trust we have earned over decades. These include:
- Master Plumbers Association
- Backflow Prevention Association of Australia (BPAA)
- Building and Plumbing Commission (formerly VBA)
- NSW Fair Trading
- Soldier On Partner
These affiliations keep us connected to industry best practices while reinforcing our commitment to integrity, compliance, and ethical service.
Since 2016, we have proudly held accreditation to internationally recognised ISO standards:
- ISO 9001 – Quality Management
- ISO 45001 – Occupational Health & Safety
- ISO 14001 – Environmental Management
These certifications shape the way we work every day. Backed by a dedicated HSEQ management system and an experienced safety team led by our HSEQ Manager, Cherie Wassell, we continuously monitor and refine our processes. This ensures our services are delivered with consistency, care, and responsibility, while giving our clients confidence that safety, quality, and sustainability are always in front of our minds.
Our Commitment to Excellence
Safety is not a box we tick. It’s the foundation of our culture. At AFP, providing a safe and healthy workplace for employees, contractors, clients, and visitors is at the heart of our vision.
We believe a strong safety culture is built on leadership, respect, and accountability. We encourage a proactive mindset, one that is curious, prepared for the unexpected, and committed to continuous learning. Our approach promotes a fair and supportive culture that prioritises the health and wellbeing of every individual.
Every team member understands their role in maintaining safe work practices, and we encourage a proactive mindset, one that is prepared, curious, and always learning.
Our framework combines non-negotiable safety rules with clear expectations for behaviours, ensuring risk is managed responsibly on every site. Company Directors Peter McDonnell and Guy Considine reinforce this with a simple message: “If it’s not safe, don’t do it.”
Through this mindset, safety is a core value that guides everything we do.

Sustainability is central to our long-term vision. We recognise the role we play in helping clients achieve their environmental goals, from water conservation and energy efficiency to waste reduction and responsible procurement. By embedding sustainability into every aspect of our work, AFP ensures that our clients benefit from solutions that are not only effective today but also support a more resilient and sustainable future.
We remain committed to minimising our environmental footprint, supporting the communities in which we work, and ensuring the long term resilience of both our business but also the clients that we serve. We apply sustainable practices across all aspects of our operations.
Our approach includes:
- Water Efficiency – Installing water-saving systems to reduce consumption.
- Energy & Resource Management – Reducing waste, recycling, and finding smarter ways to use resources.
- Sustainable Procurement – Partnering with suppliers who meet ethical and Modern Slavery compliance standards.
- Fleet & Equipment Efficiency – Investing in modern, energy-conscious equipment to reduce emissions.
- Continuous Improvement – Exceeding legislation and actively seeking new ways to enhance environmental performance.
By embedding these practices, we minimise our footprint while creating long-term value for clients, employees, and the communities we serve.
We embrace innovation to deliver smarter, safer, and more sustainable outcomes. Using digital platforms such as SafetyCulture for real-time audits, we help our teams identify hazards and continuously improve workplace safety.Similarly, AroFlo is used for streamlined operations, enhancing safety, reducing inefficiencies, and improving transparency.
Our ESG Plan, aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ensures that our impact extends beyond plumbing to create positive change in the communities where we work. Looking ahead, we are investing in predictive maintenance, smart water systems, and advanced monitoring technologies. Even in training, we use engaging tools like Canva to make learning interactive and effective for our teams.
Commercial construction is always changing. Every year brings new challenges, from stricter regulations to bigger demands for sustainability. That’s why we’re constantly investing in our team, our systems, and eco-friendly solutions. It’s how we keep up with those changes and, more importantly, continue to help build Australia’s infrastructure.
